Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
I won a $2,000 judgment from a husband and wife home improvement contractor, where the business is incorporated with some office equipment and bank accounts. I plan to file an interrogatory summons to identify their business assets, but where can I find a list of detailed questions and documents for them to answer and bring to court? Failing that, how can I pierce-the-corporate-veil and place a lien on their personal assets to satisfy the judgement?

Should your judgment debtors be brought before the general district court on your request for debtors'
interrogatories, when the case is called the judge will swear them in and then you will be directed
to go out into the courthouse hallway and to interview them theire regarding their income as well as
other assets.
And, if they decline to answer your questions or otherwise appropriately respond, you will then be able to direct
them back into the courtroom to explain their noncooperation to the judge or if they refuse to return to the courtroom, you will them be able to request that the judge issue a Rule to Show Cause against them for
contempt.
