Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
Two years ago I had emergency surgery. After that, I had to have antibiotics IV for 21 days. It was done as an out patient. I have entered into an agreement to pay $200.00 per month. When the agreement was made, ALL the bills were put into one. Now, they are billing me for the out patient treatments. It amounts to over $4600.00. I can not afford to pay it off in the year that they want. What is the minimum I can make each month? I live in Virginia. My husband and I are both on social security.

There is no such minimum recognized in Virginia law that would determine what you would be legally permitted to pay on this particular debt without the agreement of
the entity to which you are indebted. (It would appear that further negotiation with this
company would be advisable in the situation described.)
