Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Several years ago o got a roding lAwn mower from a ret to own center when they delivetrd it we found out that it was defective. they told us they would bri.g us another one bit they couldnt load the one they brought back on the truck because it had gas in it they wasnt allowed to do that. we ended up paying 800.00 on the mower and was never able to use it & they never brought us another one they finally came and got it. i hlast year i got a sectional from this same place they agree they owe us 800.00 but we cant use it on the sectional that we have to use it on something similar to what the 800.00 was put on in the forst plave. I believe that i should be able to put it on the sectional because its my money are they allowed to do that-- make me use the money on a mower that we no longer need? i want to apply the 800.00 pn the sectional.

Would seem to depend upon the language of your original contract that you

signed for the original mower which a lawyer would likely need to review in

order to provide you with a more definitive answer.
