Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
4 felonies
A teacher was charged with 4 felonies (embezzlement, forgery, etc.) She pled guilty before the trial. How do I find out if she took a plea bargain? Will she be able to teach? Jail time? What kind of punishment usually goes with felony?

Re: 4 felonies
1. Check the court file.(It's a public record.)
2. Depends upon the school and its policies.
3. Felonies are normally punishable by a year or more in the state penitentiary + fines.(It's possible however, that if she's a first time offender and committed a less serious felony, that most or all of the teacher's sentence may have been suspended and the teacher placed on supervised probation.)
