Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My 20 year old who attends West Virginia University borrowed a purse from my oldest daughter that had brass knuckles in an interior pocket that she didn't know was there. She put her purse on the xray machine while traveling at Reagan airport and now has a court date for, I'm presuming, a concealed weapon because they are illegal in VA. Would you suggest hiring an attorney for this offense? She really didn't know it was in the purse and neither did I. We live in Maryland.
