Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I am a 20 year old individual who was recently cited in Virginia for possession of alcohol. There is a "first offender program" which entails community service and alcohol awareness classes in exchange for removal of the charge from my record. However, I was previously cited under similar circumstances in Pennsylvania (same type of first offender program exists there). I am inquiring as to whether my citation in PA will show up when I attend court in Virginia, or will I be able to apply for first offender status again?

You will probably be interviewed prior for similar convictions. In addition, if you take first offender program, the charge may get dismissed. But that does not mean it will be taken off your record. Good luck. Attorney Sheryl Shane. Web: www.sherylshanelaw.com.
