Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I was accused of shoplifting under $60 in merchansise.I received a court appointed lawyer and she is absolutely horrible! I have only talked to her for 5 minutes on the telephone,she will not meet me in person, she never returned any phone calls I made to her & her receptionist hung up in my face 2 times. This is completely unprofessional and insane. I want another lawyer,how do I go about this?

Ask the court for another lawyer and explain why. (You first go to the clerk's office to determine exactly how the request should be made. They may wish to set it down for a hearing,)
