Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I acquired a vehicle through the abandoned vehicle channel by mistake. I have since discovered that it was inventoried under probate. Can I reverse the title back to the deceased through the DMV and fix this? I dont want the vehicle and want to ensure it goes to the estate without be convicted of felony fraud.

What's there to "fix" as long as the vehicle is now properly
registered and titled in your name?
However, if you're unhappy with your acquisition for other reasons and would
simply like to rid yourself of it, whether you can simply reconvey the title to the
estate under the circumstances described would appear to be a question
that the DMV would need to answer.
