Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
If an acusser made a police report that started an investigation. And that report was lost and they had to interview the accuser again how can we know if the accuser has been lying without being able to compare the statements

If this accused is ever charged with a crime arising out of such an incident, the defense would
be able to request from the commonwealth copies of all relevant exculpatory as well as other evidence
that might be relevant to the charge during the discovery phase of the case.
