Once charges are filed, an arrest warrant may issue for the one accused.
Depends upon whether charged as a misdemeanor or felony; if the latter, could be 1 to 20 years in the state penitentiary, or, in the discretion of the fact finder at trial, up to 12 months in the local slammer and a fine of up to $2500, either or both.
If charged as a misdemeanor, the maximum possible penalty would be 12 months in the local jail and a fine of $2500, either or both.
