Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Aiding and abedding
My nephew brought his brother out of state and the brother decided to stay there. He has a court date in a few days and has not intention of coming back for it. Can my nephew get into trouble for having taking him out of state? The brother is 19 so considered an adult. Isn't it up to the brother to get back in time for the court date?
Thank you for your help.

Yep, the 19 year old whom you allege has no intention of coming back to the
Commonwealth for his court date will be the one facing the possible warrant for his arrest rather than the one(your nephew)"who brought his brother out of state".
