Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
my apartment was burgularized, while I was out of town, the police department responded to a call from my daughter and the theif was caught in the act. When I returned I request a copy of the police report, but was only givin the first page and told that the rest of the information cannot be givin to me. Can the information (full police report) , concerning the events of the break in and the arrest be withheld?

Yes, if the cops want to withhold it. (They are not even required to give
the full report to defense counsel.)
