Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Appeal of a conviction
I received a conviction for a bounced check in May of 1994.
The check was for $109.00 Is it possible to appeal this decision and have it overturned? Or have the case reopened? At the time I really didn't understand all of my rights.

Re: Appeal of a conviction
If the conviction was in the general district
court, you have 10 days from the date of
conviction to appeal it; 30 days if it was circuit
court.
Your time for appeal has run, obviously, long
ago, and, no, the matter cannot now be reopened.
