Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
appeals
i am going to court in 3 days for two misdeamenors and am on parole and the plea they are willing to give me could violate me in the long run... if i choose to fight it and am found guilty and appeal would i go to jail on the same court date until my appeal date or would i be free until the appeal date

Re: appeals
If the court is convinced that you do not represent a risk of flight nor a danger to the community, it would likely grant you a personal recognizance bond which would allow you
to remain free while you prosecute your appeal(s) in the circuit court.
