arrest warrants

I was served an arrest warrant at my house. When i opened the door i stpped out to talk to the police they served the warrant. I asked if i could get my shoes. i opened up the door and they pushed past me and started to look around they saw a pot roach on the table and they started t6o search my house they looked everywhere they found a bag of pot that was hidthey took the roach and the bag and all of the meds that where in the house.I then asked if i could call my brother to come and get my son. they said ok and they called him and he came and got him.They took himhome with tehm . Iwent to the jail they charged me with not showing up in court and pred me out.I was not charged with the pot or the meds that they took Is what they did right.

Count yourself lucky that you were not charged eith possession of the pot and whatever other contraband that may have been in your house. (In executing an arrest warrant, officers are entitled to search the immediate area of the arrestee which in your case would've been the interior of your house.)
