Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I got arrested back at the very beginning of May for something that happened back in October. And my preliminary court hearing it on 6/19/2018. It is a felony for embezzlement. This is my first offense of any kind, and I am trying to figure out what I should do. I have a lawyer who has spoken to the prosecutor, about a plea deal. He said that it would be a misdemeanor if I did 2 weeks, and payed back the company. I am worried only because I just became a store Manager, and I cannot afford to do 2 weeks either on the weekend or consecutively without a high risk of losing my job. I am willing to pay back the debt but I cannot afford to do the time unless its on my days off (I have 2: Tuesday and Thursday). My lawyer seems unwilling to give me any advice, and says I have to take that plea deal no matter what. I don't want to argue over a punishment, but losing my job would put me in a spot where I would be homeless and unable to pay back the debt. Is there a good way I can explain my circumstances with out losing my plea deal? Or minimize the time done so I don't lose my job?

So, what's the problem with your attorney attempting to negotiate your time in the local "slammer"

to Tuesday and Thursday? (Or has s/he even bothered to try?)
