arson threats
My friend was charged with a threat of arson which he did not do and I was trying to get some legal advice to help him out.

Better arrange for him to retain an appropriately qualified criminal defense counsel.
(If your friend cannot afford to hire such, he should ask the court to appoint an attorney to represent him.)
Arson, needless to say, is a serious felony matter.
