assault and battery
my boyfriend wants to drop assault and battery charges on someone going to circuit court. He doesnt want to get in trouble how should he go about doing so if possible.

If your boyfriend is the alleged victim of the assault and battery, he has no authroity to "drop" such charges since only the prosecutor's office has that authority.
He could, nevertheless, contact that office and request to speak to the assistant commonwealth's attorney assigned to the case and explain to this person the reason(s) why he now believes that the one accused should not be further prosecuted.
