Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
assault charges
Question is i was arrested on assault charges. I was never read my rights and I was never processed is that legal. I had a restraining order on the person and they showed up at my house and put there hands on my first. And i feel i was defending myself in my home.

Better get a lawyer who can assist you with preparing and presenting your defense to this criminal charge based upon a theory of self defense along with any other arguments which might be applicable.
