Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Assault On A Family Member
I had a warrant for my arrest for
assault on a family member. That
family member being the mother of
my child. My 1st court date is coming
up to be set up with a lawyer. Is
there any way that i can get it so the
warrant stipulations (i cannot have
any contact with my daughters
mother what so ever) can be
dropped or waived so that i can at
least see my child ?

Re: Assault On A Family Member
You could request at that upcoming hearing some modification of the stay away order that might permit you to visit your child(perhaps, under the supervision of another family member), but, realistically, it is unlikely to be granted at this stage in matters.
