Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
assault on a minor
It has been going around that a 17 year old wants to fight me, I am 18 years old. I have no criminal record as an adult, but as far as having a juvenile record I went to court as a first offender when I was 17 and the charges were just recently dropped. So technically I have no criminal record now that I am 18 right? Could they bring my past up in court, the offence was drug related. so what would happen to me if I were to hit him first? And what would happen if I hit him in self defense and what stipulations are there as far as self defense is concerned?

Don't hit him first. If you have really acted in self defense, the facts will speak for themselves.
