i found a man in bed with my wife and beat him up and put him in the hospital and knoked out his tooth they were in my house and in my bed if he presses charges what could happen

Sounds like at the very least an assault and battery (Class 1 misdemeanor), if not a malicious wounding (Class 4 to Class 6 felony).

The misdemeanor conviction can carry a fine of up to $2500 and 12 months in the local hoosegow, either or both, while the Class 4 felony imposes a penalty of 2-10 years incarceration in the state penitentiary, a fine of up to $100K, either or both.
