attempt murder
is there any status of limitation when someone try to kill you. Suppose someone shoot a gun at you but the person miss, but there is evidence of the shotting . Can i still have charges file against that person

Attempted murder or homicide is a felony. The Commonwealth of Virginia has no statute of limitations on felonies.
