auto theft
My husband was charged with unauthorized use of vehicle in Sept. 08, sentenced to 9 months in the state of New York, The state of
Virginia has an order of transportation to pick him up on his
release date, which is 3/11/09. What do you think he will be charged with. The vehicle was taken from Virginia, and found in New york. Can they charge him the same as New York? The New York court charged him with unauthorized use ofa motor vehicle, and dropped it to a misdeamener. Anything I could do before he arrives in Virginia to get him out would be good to know.

If your husband is actually extradited to the Commonwealth, it would be advantageous to have a competent criminal defense counsel lined up who could represent him on whatever charge is brought against him.
