Bond Hearing

a 17 year old is in detention center. His charges have been transferred to circuit court to be tried as an adult. His indictment hearing is scheduled for april 28. Is he entitled to have a bond hearing before his indictment hearing? or does he have to wait until after he is indicted ?

No, the defendant should be eligible for a bond hearing before the circuit court which now has jurisdiction over his case whenever his defense counsel can get the necessary papers(motion) filed and without having to await a formal indictment.
