Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
borther was arrested
brother been in jail since thursday
3/12/09 and he still in jail in maryland arrested him for a warrent from virginia waiting to be tranported to virginia jail how can maryland state how if virginia has not pick him up? what is his right

As I informed you, today, March 17, 2009, during our telephone discussion, Maryland authorities must release your brother from detention if Virigina authorities have not come within the required time period(probably 72 hours) to pick him up on the apparently still outstanding Virginia warrant.
If such has not occurred, someone needs to appear at the Maryland detenion facility where your brother is being held to demand his immediate release.
