Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
If someone bought a car from you but did'nt make the payments on time like they were supposed to and still owed you over 1000 dollars and you still had the insurance in your name and they ended up totaling the car do they get any of the money that the insurance company gives you for the value of the car? And the car is still registered in my name???

whose name is on the title and who was driving.
You could tell this someone that you may give him/her some proportion of the insurance settlement in proportion to their ownerhip of the vehicle which can be legitimately established minus the cost of their culpability for apparently causing the accident which resulted in the total loss of the vehicle. (Yeah,
realistically, that means that under this formula they might be entitled to ZERO.)
