Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I bought some stolen items at a yard sale without even knowing that they were stolen. The police showed up with a search warrant for the items and took them. The people who sold the items to me completely deined ever doing so or even ever meeting me. As of yet I have not been arrested and I have refused to speak with the police. Can I be charged with any kind of a crime?

You can be charged with receiving stolen property, but the Commonwealth would need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you knew the items were stolen.
