Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My brother was 20 years old and convicted of credit card theft. He was given 2 years probation and served no time. The felony was in the commonwealth of Virginia. He is currently graduating from college with a bachelor's degree. He made a stupid mistake and is concerned about getting a decent job. What can he do to better his chances?

Whatever your brother can do to "better his chances"(of getting a decent job), it will not include
expunging the record of his felony conviction in the Commonwealth where such felony records are essentially unexpungeable. See Va. Code Sec. 19.2-392.2 et seq.
