Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
capias in virginia
I have a capias issued on me for violation of bond and the sheriffs department called telling me to turn myself in. What happens if I dont and just wait and go to my next cout date which is June 24?

You will most likely be arrested and taken into custody and processed as a bond violator whose subsequent release will be up to the magistrate or judge reviewing the matter. (In a somewhat similar situation to what you've proposed, I just had one of my clients taken into custody on an outstanding warrant inside a courtroom of the Prince William County courthouse in Manassas, Virginia, around 2:30 pm this afternoon. Still haven't heard whether he made bond or not.)
