Your boyfriend had better be prepared to offer a good excuse as to why he failed to finish the VASAP program, and, based upon that, why the judge should restore him to probation in order to permit him to complete this program.

However, if boyfriend fails to convince the judge

that he should be given another chance in this regard, the judge will likely impose either all or at least part of the previous DUI sentence which had been suspended conditioned on the successful completion of all probationary programs. (And, yes, that could mean some time in the local slammer for boyfriend.)
