Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
capias-voilation of court order
I have a capias against me in Arlington County, VA because I was not notified to show up for a court date, Aug.2003.
Also there is a false charge brought agoinst me by a federal judge I used to date stating that I was in violation of a court order, dated Feb. 2003.
Is there a statue of limitations when this would all go away.
Also I need a new attorney to represent me for an Aug, 30, 2004 court appearance in Arlington County, VA I fired to old firm because they messed up 2 to 3 times.

I would like to hear more information -- a lot more information -- about this.

The warrant for your arrest(capias)for failure to appear could continue in the WALES (wide area law enforcement system )or other law enforcement databases for an indefinite period.
Over the years I have represented many defendants in both the Arlington Co. General District as well as Circuit Court charged with felonies or misdemeanors and with a certain number of these involving FTA's(failures to appear).
