A charge on my record
How can I have a criminal charge of assault and battery on my record in Virginia, where the plantiff did not show up, and I was not found guilty of charges/ and they were dismissed and is in a nolle pross status?

Even if the charge against you was nolle'd, the record of your arrest will
stand unless it's expunged. (And, merely because the charge against you was apparently dismissed due to the apparent failure of the complaining witness to appear for trial, that in no way means [or even implies] that you were actually acquitted of this charge which could happen only if the matter were tried before a judge or jury and a verdict of not guilty was rendered in your case.)
