Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

I was just charged with Embezzlement, Larceny with intent to sell, and Sale of stolen goods, in Va the item in question is a Camera with a value of $229 and grand larceny in va is $200. This is the first time I have been in trouble for anything, I am 21 and have a clean record. What could I expect to happen? Would their be any way to keep a felony off my record?

You are asking a loaded question. You have to go to court. I guess you are out on bond since you are writing this. There will be a preliminary hearing. They may offer you a deal at this point. If you dont take it - they will most likely set it for trial. If you take the deal - they may offer misdemenanors or felonies....you may either get it settled at this time or do a formal plea and sentencing at later dates. The judges tend to really dislike embezzelment charges. If you negotiate - take this into account. Get a good attorney. Strategy is very important.
