getting charges dropped

me and an ex got into a disagreement and in the process her gear shift in her car was hit and broken she was pissed at me and called the cops and said i broke it and put my hands on her and i was charged with a felony destruction of property over $1000 and a misdeamenor assault but never touched her.. she feels guilty now and wants to drop charges... how is the best way to go about that?

Now that charges have been filed against you, it is not within the power

of your former spouse to have the charges dropped on her own. Only the office of the particular commonwealth's attorney that currently is charged with handling this matter can make that decision.

In the meantime, you'd be well advised to get yourself a criminal defense counsel.
