Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
two charges hearing on the same day
The first charge my 19 year old daughter has is shoplifting ($56.00). The second charge she is facing is embezelment, she signed a statement for her former employer admitting to stealing merchandise to the tune of $2000.00. She has set up a payment plan to repay the company. Because she has nothing else showing on her criminal record, currently enrolled in her senior year of high school and is an honor roll student, I was wondering if jail time is likely.

Re: two charges hearing on the same day
Your inquiry should be directed to the criminal defense counsel who hopefully is representing your daughter by now.
