Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
charges on record
In 4/12/05 I received 2 charges they are larceny and possession charges in another state. I have never been in trouble and this was my first time. This is showing up on my background check and I am unable to get employment.
How can I get this removed from my record if it is not in the state I presently reside in?

Re: charges on record
In Virginia, only charges that nolle prossed, dismissed or if you are acquitted can be expunged. This may be the same for the state in which you were charged. If you were not convicted, consider an expungement of the charges in the state you were charged.
