Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
I am charging va crime code 3712-04 code section 5-1-1 class 4 misddmeanor. This is my first time to appear in court.What is the punishment? Is there a jail time?

The punishment for Class 4 misdemeanors in the Commonwealth is fixed at
a fine of up to $250.00. See Va. Code Sec. 18.2-11(d).
And, no, there is no jail time that can be imposed for a conviction of this offense.
