Child Molesation reporting
Can a person report a molestation that occured 30 years ago and expect a criminal charge be made?

Although there is no statute of limitations on
felonies in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a charge of child molestation arising from a factual predicate some 30 years old would be very difficult to maintain for a lot of different reasons which I will not delve into here.

Yes you can, particularly if there are verifiable facts or corrborating witnesses. I defended a case last year in which the allegations were 20-25 years old.
