cleaning my background record

how do i go about cleaning my record? one charge in 1997. felony forgery knocked down to misdemeanor. i need this off my record for a job.

Re: cleaning my background record

Unless you were wrongfully convicted and can prove it and, consequently, have received a pardon from the governor for the offense of which you were convicted, you cannot "clean your record" in the Commonwealth of Virginia(under the circumstances which you've described).
