Cohabitation and sex outside of marriage
Does it violate Federal Law or Virginia State law for a man and a woman to live together and engage in normal sexual activity without being legally married?

Re: Cohabitation and sex outside of marriage
It is an offense against Virginia law to cohabit.
(See section 18.2-345) Each person may be convicted of a class 3 misdomeanor. Second offense is a class 1 misdomeanor. Voluntary Sexual intercourse is also an offense, a class 4 misdomeanor. Class 3 misdomeanor= fine of not more than $500.00. Class 4 misdomeanor= fine of not more than $250.00. Class 1 misdomeanor= fine of not more than $2,500.00, jail of not more than one year.
