Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Is a company liable?
I had my credit card stolen. The suspect used my card at a local fast food restaurant. When questioned by the police, the workers at the restaurant admitted to knowing the suspect personally. The suspect was still able to charge her food on my card. Is the restaurant responsible in any way?

Re: Is a company liable?
A credible case might be made(at least in my opinion) for the restaurant's liability if a manager of the restaurant approved the charges by the suspect after being informed of the stolen card. However,
the situation is less clear if only "workers" were allegedly aware of it, and more relevant facts would likely be necessary in order to
make a determination on this facet of the incident(again in my opinion).
