One is not required to make any statement to police after becoming involved with such events as described ; one may, however, be requried to produce satisfactory identification if such is requested by investigating law enforcement personnel.

Many times police will tell you anything to get you to talk. The tactics they use are incredible.

Always be very polite. Always state you want an attorney before you speak. There are so many cases that would be won if people just kept their mouths shut.
