Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Continued intmindation and harassment
When I was married, I found out that my husband had molested my daughter- his step daughter- charges were eventually filed against him for indecent liberties, I agreed to allow him to plea to domestic assault and battery with specific terms of his probation which included no contact with me and my daughter, he was ordered to abstain from the use of alcohol- he went to an area where my daughter was knowing she was there and he was caught drinking at a bar shortly after his plea, since then he has blamed me for his probation violation -although nothign has been formally filed against him yet and his attorney is now making bogus allegations that I am harassing his client and his girlfriend I am stalking them and is making threats that he is going to file charges against me- they are also asking that I sign an Order stating that my daughter and I will not attend sporting events if he or his children are present, I have refused my daughter is in high school and should be able to attend any event she wants, his children 16 and 18 years old still maintain a relationship with me and do not see him he lost his joint custody when charges were filed- how can I keep this man and his girlfriend from continuing to file false claims agst me

Re: Continued intmindation and harassment
You cannot prevent the man and his girlfriend from filing false and unwarranted charges against you. You can, however, ensure that you collect and mainatain every piece of evidence that you can which may be useful in refuting such charges.
The falsity of the charges will eventually come to light with consequences for the falsifiers that may surprise them.
