Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Ok I lied to a 31 year old man and told him I was 19. I am really 17. we were found in my vehicle lacking some clothing but nothing happened at all. My father picked me up and the male had warrents for child support so he went to jail. How will the male be viewed in court saying the female lied about her age, he didnt have ''carnal knowledge'' he was misinformed, he didn't have sexual intercourse with her. There was marijuana found in the car which the male took blame for, and he is being charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. What if the defense can prove the minor is not delinquent? What does it take to prove a minor is not delinquent?
