if convicted of first degree murder by jury trail what is you min sentence
and what are your chances of appealing it

If not capital murder, then 20 years in the state penitentiary would be the minimum sentence for a first degree murder conviction. (See Va. code Sec. 18.2-10 b.)
If you mean what would the chances be of winning an appeal of such a conviction, the chances very likely would not be very good.
