Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
convictions bar teachers license
I have been convicted in the state of virginia for assault and battery 2 and obstruction to justice and disorderly conduct. I was a first time offender and plead guilty to a crime I did not commit I was lied on and had no witnesses on my behalf. However at the time I was subbing, and would like to become a teacher now. I would like to know if these charges would bar me from getting licensed as a teacher? Or where can I go to find out what moral turpitude crimes prohibit getting a license.
