Re: court trial on rape

Its public record - anyone can have access to it

Speak to the Circuit Court Clerk where he was convicted to get a copy of the Final Judgment

Good Luck

I would contact the clerk of court in the county where he was convicted and ask to see the file as it is now public record.

They will charge you for copies. It may be difficult to get an actual transcript of the trial due to the time that has elapsed since the trial. In addition if he filed an appeal there will be an appellate decision and the briefs of the lawyers will be on file with the Iowa Supreme Court.

As to whether there are still any copies of investigative reports that is unlikely due to the age of the case. The county attorney in the jurisdiction may be able to assist you.

Best of luck in your quest.
