Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
My cousin is 16 and she is dating a 26 yr old man for over a yr, her parents allowed the relationship until she got pregnant, she lied to him saying she was 18 when they got together and her parents knew the age of the man, now they want to press charges against him, can they do that? if so what is the consiquences

Only if the minor child was provably under age 15 at the time of the sexual relationship described. (See Va. Code Sec. 18.2-64:2.)
