Credit card theft is defined in the Virginia Criminal Code as grand larceny
and therefore punishable as grand larceny.(See Va. Code Sec. 18.2-192(2).)
The penaltly for grand larceny can vary from one year to twenty years in the state penitentiary and a fine of up to $2500, either or both. (See Va. Code Sec. 18.2-95.)
